Rabjohn Construction

All about us...

Established by Roy Rabjohn 1977 who M V Rabjohn worked alongside for a few years doing his apprenticeship in brickwork/building. M.V Rabjohn attended shirecliff collage from 1981 to 1985. In which time he acquired the following qualifications:

- City & Guilds in brickwork

- Advanced city and guilds in brickwork

- 600 Series covering surveying and leveling & site supervision

- Also in 1984 he represented shireclif collage in a regional interbuild competition.

From 1985 until 2000 M.V Rabjohn went onto commercials sites, building shopping centers and offices. He was also doing small jobs for himself, all on a self employed basis. During this time worked as a site foreman, project managing contracts.

Then in 2000 after the retirement of Roy Rabjohn. Mark took over the family business. The business has been running on recommendation only for the past 11 years. Specializing in extensions and new builds. Although the company covers all aspects of building work.

“Some time ago, my wife and I employed Mark Rabjohn to carry out some quite major alterations to our home.

Initially we thought that we should simply build a single story extension across the back of the house, in order to more comfortably accommodate our family when they visited. It soon became clear, however, that we should require more change than this.

"I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Mark and his men. They were always friendly, polite, hardworking and well organized."

After initial discussions with mark, he found us an architect and matters proceeded apace. Plans were drawn, permissions obtained and a starting chosen. As the task was estimated to take about fourteen weeks altogether, it was necessary for mark to clear his workload to allow this amount of time. At all times we were perfectly happy to have Mark as the Project Manager.

Despite our best efforts to phase him by finding “extras” the job stayed on schedule. Whenever the need arose Mark was able to summon the necessary extra hands to deal with it. On one occasion there were no less than fourteen people in the house, not including my wife and I!
Needles to say, everything was completed on time… even down to a patio, wall and garden path that had not been thought of at all in the first place.

Having now lived with the results of all the efforts for a substantial time, we are still as pleased with everything that Mark did for us as we hoped we would be.

I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Mark and his men. They were always friendly, polite, hardworking and well organized. They also managed to bring a fairly complicated project to a successful conclusion on time and on budget.”
